NEW Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray

I was so so excited to receive this brand new product from Makeup Revolution recently because it sounded completely perfect for my troublesome skin. The pro fix oil control makeup fixing spray* aims to deflect surface shine, keeping you naturally matte throughout the day, fixing your makeup in place so that foundations and eye products resist smudging and fading as the hours go by. I suffer from annoyingly oily skin with shine so persistent it seems to be able to break through any products and powders that I apply, so I was really intrigued to see what effect this spray would have - if any!

Firstly, it's really pleasant and straightforward to use with a light fragrance that isn't at all overwhelming. All you do is apply your makeup as usual then shake the bottle up and spray evenly towards your face whilst holding the bottle about 8 inches away. The light mist then settles on your face and dries almost instantly, with no heavy or uncomfortable residue left at all.

So, did it work? Yes! Of course I still got shiny at some points (I wasn't expecting a miracle after all) but the length of time I could wait before needing to re-powder myself was noticeably longer, and while I would usually be greeted by a shiny face when looking in the mirror after lectures I was actually really surprised at how fresh my makeup looked after uni on the days that I had been using this product. I will definitely be carrying on using this as part of my daily makeup routine as I feel so much more confident going out knowing that I can avoid the dreaded shine for just that little bit longer. And, it only costs a fiver!

Have you tried any oil control or makeup fixing sprays? What do you think of the concept?
