My Experience with Salon Science Retextuluxe

When I was approached with the opportunity to try Salon Science hair products* I couldn't be more excited as hair care is always pretty high up on my priority list. I'm forever re-colouring my pink locks (pastels fade so fast!) and drying my hair out by using the blowdryer and tongs regularly, so I'm always looking for products to give it a bit of life back. If you've got a similar hair type to me - a little dry/damaged, coloured and generally in need of some TLC - or you just want your hair in an even better condition than it is now, read on!

The products I've been sent to try include the Retextuluxe Shampoo and Conditioner, the ReGlosse Smoothing Serum and the ReProtectant Thermal Crème, all of which include grape seed extract to repair, strengthen, protect and nourish hair. Not only is the grape extract fantastic for all the above-mentioned qualities, but it also leaves my hair smelling diviiineee.

The shampoo and conditioner are a dream to use, the light fruity scent lingers on the hair and although the range is created to be super nourishing the conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down or make it overly greasy at the roots like others can.

Next I add a generous dose of the thermal creme as well as a small blob of the serum (followed by a few of my other pre-blow drying products - I know, I use so many!) then brush through my hair with my beloved wet brush. After an arm-aching blow dry sesh my hair is super smooth with minimal frizz and hardly an flyaways, making it the perfect starting point before I give it a little bit of shape with the tongs. I finish off with a little more of the serum to smooth out the final look and then I'm good to go!

When I prep and style my hair with these products, the end result I achieve means that I can last only washing my hair about twice a week without it getting overly frizzy, greasy or knotted up in between! Perfect for a lazy gal like me.

Do you like the sound of these products? They're fairly pricey at over £10 a pop, but if your hair needs a little luxury they're so worth a try - I'm so grateful I've got these in my life right now!
